Winter is here and we are finding ways to stay fit and keep that fun in the saddle! What better way than to DANCE through the bleak winter days alongside friends and other horsey people! Lets do this!
Gammon Castellvi grew up in Venezuela where social dancing at night clubs was Salsa and Merengue. She also grew up riding horses and have always felt that riding was almost exactly like dancing with a partner….it is all about timing, rhythm, communication, connection, feel…..sound familiar???
Gammon has spent the last year working with some amazing dancers focusing on a dance curriculum appropriate for the average adult rider that emphasizes the most important parts…relaxation, rhythm, use of independent body parts and promotes the elusive “elastic connection”.
So….who wants to stay fit, work on the most important riding basics and have fun? Besides…who doesn’t want to learn how to Salsa!!!!????
Clinic Details:
- When: January 18th-19th, 2025
- Where: Indoor Dressage Ring @ Hill of Dreams Equestrian Center (8812 Booker T Washington Hwy, Wirtz, VA 24184)
- Note: Trailers not recommended to take Jubel Early Hwy (Route 116). Recommend trailers come Hwy 220 to Wirtz Rd.
- Cost: Unmounted (January 18th): $30/person (will be done in one large group dance class, ~2hrs. long); Mounted (January 19th): $60/person (will be done in groups of 3 or 4 and roughly per level)
- Recommended to sign up for both to get the full clinic affect!
- Limited day-use stabling available for $20, this will be 1st come first serve.
- Last Day to Sign Up: 1/15/2025
- Payment Due 1/16/2025
- Scratches with reimbursement allowed no later than 1/15/2025
- No reimbursement after 1/16/2025
*Water and Snacks will be provided, otherwise please bring your own lunch if desired.*….Homestead Creamery is right down the road…FYI
***Due to limited amount of time to set up this clinic, I have created a Google Form for participants to fill out. Once you fill it out, I will recieve notification. I will be in contact with you via email with payment (Venmo/Paypal) information within 2 days!
