Liz Fitzgerald of Four Sails Farm, located in Blacksburg,VA, is an accomplished hunter/jumper rider who has bred and trained multiple horses for the hunter and jumper ring. As a junior, Liz competed in eventing through the preliminary level and was a member of the Region 3 Young Riders Dressage Team. She also competed in hunter jumper shows and fox hunted. After turning 21, Liz chose to pursue a career in the hunter/jumper industry, this was in part due to the fact that she and her mom, Maggie Pratt, had started a successful breeding business and the hunter/jumper industry was a preferred venue for selling young horses. Most notably, Liz and her late husband John produced 3 Grand Prix jumpers and in 2023 and 2024 Liz had the leading 3yo Hunter and the Champion 4yo Hunter at the Sally B Wheeler National Hunter Breeding Show.
