The Blue Ridge Eventing Association is a Virginia non-profit organization founded in 1989.
Improve your eventing skills through safe and fun unrecognized competitions!
We offer several competitions, educational activities, and meetings throughout the year, focusing on the three disciplines of Eventing: Dressage, Cross-Country, and Show Jumping.
We encourage you to become involved with both the USEA and the USEF in hope that you will use what you learn at the national level to help our club strengthen and grow.

History
Influential members that contributed to our success.
Bernard Hylton
Bernard has been an avid volunteer for many years, and built most (if not all) of the cross country jumps at Green Hill Park Equestrian Center.
He represented us on a team at the MidSouth Team Challenge in Lexington, KY, and was one of the first members ever inducted into our Hall of Fame in January 2020.
His horse’s name was Porter, a Thoroughbred Percheron Cross.
Linda Oberlender
Linda was one of our early members. She was an avid volunteer at every show, and she also volunteered a lot with local Pony Club and 4-H groups.
Linda loved eventing, dressage, and fox hunting! Linda was inducted into our Hall of Fame in January 2020.
She rode Caleb, an Amish Cart Horse from Wisconsin. He is 1/4 Belgian, 1/4 Standardbred, and had 1/4 Quarter Horse on each side of his pedigree.

A public facility owned by Roanoke County and operated by a private Board of Directors exclusively for the equine enthusiast.
