June 14th, 2026

(Entries Close June 8th)

Greenhill Park Equestrian Center

2961 Harborwood Rd, Salem, VA 24153

Description of Event: Skip the pressure of a show and come school with feedback instead! Join us for a Dressage Fix-a-Test and/or Fix-a-Round day at Greenhill Park Equestrian Center.

How it Works: Sign up for a Fix-a-Test with the test of your choosing or Fix-a-Round at the height/level of your choice, or BOTH!!  If you choose both, we will schedule your dressage test first and your jumping after.   We will work in the small dressage arena first for USEA/Eventing Tests and USDF Intro Tests and then move to the large arena for all other tests. Amount of entries will determine if jumping will go high to low or low to high.

Cross Country Schooling FREE for Greenhill Park Members, and $25 for Non-Greenhill Park Members

Stadium Schooling (no lesson) $20 for BREA Members, and $25 for Non-Members

Gabriele Hooten
Gabriele Hooten is an L-Graduate judge with more than 25 years of experience officiating dressage and eventing competitions. She is also a Bereiter FN—a German-licensed professional dressage trainer and instructor—with over 40 years of experience in training, teaching, and competition.

For nearly 30 years, Gabriele owned and operated The Solid Rock Farm, a dedicated dressage training facility. During her competitive career, she successfully competed through FEI levels and has guided numerous students to success at every level of dressage and eventing.

Drawing on decades of experience as a trainer, competitor, and judge, Gabriele offers a unique and highly effective approach to helping riders improve their skills, test performance, and overall horsemanship. Her instruction is firmly rooted in the principles of classical dressage, emphasizing correct training, harmony between horse and rider, and attention to detail.

Gabriele’s goal for every rider is to achieve harmony, performance, elegance, and partnership with their horse—qualities that lead not only to success in the show ring but also to lasting confidence and enjoyment in their riding journey.

Terry Whitmore
Growing up alongside her father in the equestrian world, she developed a passion for horses and riding at just three years old. As a young rider, she spent countless hours in the hunter, jumper, and fox hunting worlds, building a strong foundation through years of competition and hands-on horsemanship experience.

While in college she was introduced to the sport of eventing and began her professional equestrian career at the age of 22. She went on to compete successfully through the Novice level while continuing to expand her education in dressage, jumping, and eventing under the guidance of respected professionals including Cecil Stanford, Larry McCamey, Beverly Bowering, Teresa McDonald, Kay Meredith, Heidi Erickson, Michael Pullen, Brian Ross, Gerard Kirsch, Francis Yeardley, and Jean-Claude Rassinai. She also earned her Bronze Medal in dressage on a horse she personally trained.

Throughout her career, she has been deeply involved in breeding, raising, training, and developing young horses and sales prospects. Many of the horses she produced went on to successful performance careers, including one that competed at the Intermediate level in eventing. Today, she owns and operates a successful boarding and training program caring for more than 25 horses while helping riders of all levels develop confidence, effectiveness, and partnership both on the flat and over fences.

Her lifelong equestrian background includes fox hunting, trail riding, hunters, jumpers, dressage, and eventing. In addition to teaching and training.

She serves as a Field Master and board member for Rockbridge Hunt. She is a graduate of Elon. Centered riding instructor, previously certified.
